Spring has sprung and with it so has lots of babies. We have lots of new babies on the farm. New calves are enjoying being able to run, romp and play. Little piggies are loving to root around in the fresh mud that all the rains have brought. Baby chicks are learning to peck at new grass and chase bugs.
We tried to incubate chicks in 2 incubators. One was very successful while the other did not do too well. We are learning still. The best incubation is with a mother hen. The natural way is always best, the way God planned it. There is nothing cuter than baby chicks peeking out from under a mothers wing and watching the clutch of chicks following her around.
Baby pigs are way too cute. Right now we have lots of red piggies. They look like they have been saoked into the Orange County mud we have. Funny how the boar color can be so dominate sometimes.
